Metro station near Pantheon/Spanish Steps

Now I am second guessing my stay near Termini. I have read from people again and again to find a hotel near Pantheon/Spanish steps/Piazza Novana.

If I were to live close by there, what is the metro station? I need access to metro since I am thinking of taking Metro to Vatican as well as going to Pompeii using train(from Termini).

Any suggestions for better hotels in the price range for upto 90euro near these places?

Hi. You can try Panda Pensione. Since it's a pensione, it's not as fancy as a hotel, but it is clean and in a very convenient location. It's also relatively cheap. The Spagna station is very close (just across the street) so you can take it to wherever you are going.

The Termini area is much cheaper than the Pantheon/Navona area. If you can afford to stay closer to the sights do it, but it's not going to make or break your trip. The center of Rome is quite compact. If stay near the Pantheon you will probably walk everywhere. If you stay by Termini you have access to everywhere is bus or metro, and you are still not that far away on foot.

Hi

There is a metro station at the Spanish steps...from there it is easy to walk to Pantheon and Piazza Navona. The metro station at the Spanish steps is only a couple of stops away from Termini. I'm not sure how you can take the metro from the Spanish steps to the vatican

Ottaviano Metro station is the station closest to St Peter's, about a 15-20 minute walk. Cipro Metro station is the one closest to the Vatican Museums, about a 10-15 minute walk, both on Line A.

Keep in mind that Metro Line A (servicing Piazza Barberini, Spanish Steps and the Vatican) closes at 9pm while work is done on this subway line. There is a bus that follows a similar route until midnight. Unless you planning on being in very early every night staying near this metro line is not a bonus. The buses are simple and easy to use - don't be afraid!
